What does the Crown of Dusk do? ›

The Crown of Dusk boosts the damage of most Sorceries, Miracles and Pyromancies by 20%, but lowers Magic defense by 30%. It is an inferior choice defensively despite its low weight.

Totally worth it. It only increases magic damage done to you, so apart from alditch and crystal sage you are fine and would say no to a damage boost ;) You are just a no good filthy casul.

You do DLC, you don't get the armor. You have to get it prior to getting the portal to appear. Just as obvious, you have to kill the Golden Golem to rescue Dusk of Oolacile. Sometimes, the sign likes to hide where you can't see it.

If you use Magic Weapon, Crystal Magic Weapon, or Darkmoon Blade on a weapon, and equip the Dusk Crown, it adds roughly 13 AR. It's obviously nothing crazy, and I don't know if it is scaled differently in PVP vs. PVE like the clutch rings are, but it is interesting to note.

Characteristics. Boosts the damage of offensive Sorceries that deal Magic damage by 10%. Does not affect the damage of Sorceries that deal Dark damage. Boosts the Magic damage dealt by weapons by 5%, including those buffed by spells such as Magic Weapon.

Can't be upgraded.

The Dusk Crown Ring grants 50% more sorcery, miracle, and pyromancy castings (rounded down), but halves the user's maximum HP.

Acquired by defeating the Hydra in Darkroot Basin.

Found in Farron Keep, guarded by a giant crab to the left of the large stone door leading to the Abyss Watchers. The crown is near the lone white birch tree.

Immediately after Manus, Father of the Abyss is defeated, Dusk appears in the arena and can be spoken to, but will vanish if the player leaves the area. Her summon sign will return as before in Darkroot Basin.

The Oolacile Ivory Catalyst has the highest initial magic adjust of all the catalysts. However, it does not scale with any stat. This makes it the best catalyst to use prior to 27 Intelligence, but inferior once equal to or beyond this value.

After visiting the Memory of the King with all four crowns and exhausting Vendrick's dialogue, the crowns will prevent the player from going hollow by any means, including death and curse. A bloodstain will still appear upon death, however.
