“Provably fair” games let you check that a result was not changed after you placed your bet. They are common at crypto casinos and rely on cryptographic hashes.

How it works

  1. Before the round, the casino commits to a secret server seed by showing you its hash.
  2. You add your own client seed, and a nonce counts each bet.
  3. The result is generated from the combined seeds.
  4. Afterwards the server seed is revealed, so you can recompute the hash and the result yourself.

What it does and does not prove

Verification shows that an individual result matches the committed seeds. It does not change the house edge, and it says nothing about how the operator handles withdrawals or disputes. A licence and a good track record still matter.
